Director of Planning
Details:

Scoop, the “Ultimate Closet” is seeking an experienced Director of Planning.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to

  • Leading the overall business and strategic planning process for the organization, developing and overseeing the implementation of business plans for both Women’s and Men’s.
  • Develops and ensures compliance of planning process improvements, standardization and best practices
  • Partners with GMMs to manage every aspect of merchandise planning, sales forecasting, OTB and inventory management to achieve financial objectives and broader corporate objectives
  • Partners with store management to ensure appropriate inventory allocation and flow strategies to meet local market needs.
  • Provides high-level analysis and business reports to company executives, including strategic recommendations to maximize sales and margin
  • Oversees the development and maintenance of seasonal merchandise forecasts, strategies and financial plans
  • Directs unit quantities to buy and to reorder (to the color and size levels), effectively maximizing the ability of each store to generate sales
  • Drives negotiations on pricing with new and existing vendors

 

Management

 

  • Develops and maintain strategic partnerships with Senior Management across the organization
  • Hires, trains and develops quality, forward-thinking entrepreneurs.
  • Promotes communication and teamwork within department and its cross functions

 

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of fashion specialty store planning experience mixed with retail buying experience
  • Ability to translate merchandise vision into a viable plan
  • Proven track record of success in team leadership and development
  • Exceptional financial and business analysis skills
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft applications
